Finally the heat has come to stay here in Portugal.
And almost for every Portuguese, who is lucky enough to live near the coast or near one of our amazing river beaches, this means only one thing – is time to go to the beach!

“Where to go?” is not an easy choice here in Portugal. We are surrounded by beautiful beaches and when it comes to making a decision there are a lot of things to consider… but to make that choice easier there are the 7 Wonders – Beaches of Portugal.

With approximately 1230km of coast and numerous rivers, there are hundreds of beaches in Portugal, but to choose one of the 7 most wonderful ones, a jury has narrowed them down to 21. A very difficult task, which probably excluded some people’s favourite ones, but when there can only be 7, in a country with a beach in “every corner”, that was bound to happen.
And now, from the 21, the Portuguese will vote on the 7 Wonders-Beaches of Portugal, so our advice for you is to try them all this summer and vote with fairness!
