Have you ever heard of the Japanese bento? Well, in case you haven’t, this is a single portion, home-packed meal that usually contains lunch or breakfast with very healthy ingredients, and is prepared by mothers or spouses, who have developed certain skills to present food in a more fun or tempting way.

In the West, we are not used to making our meals look cute, but we can start to feel that Japanese influence, and now there are a lot of people who are devoting more time to making food look good. A very good example of this is Ida Skivenes (idafrosk), who makes the cutest breakfast ever!

She is inspired by the many things she likes, what she reads every day, and even pop culture, to create iconic dishes. Can you imagine eating these little pieces of art every day?
