Over the last few weeks, we have noted a growing tendency on the Internet – art with food!
We can’t be more specific about this “food”, because we’ve seen projects that use just about everything, from bananas and oranges, to pasta, rice, sardines, macaroons or peanut butter. All sorts of food arranged into beautiful and very original works of art.
The book A Matter of Taste was one of the first ones to really surprise us. In it, the Italian photographer Fulvio Bonavia, created and photographed a collection of accessories made out of food.
Another project was one by advertising agency Scholz & Friends, for German market chain Fresh n’ Friends, where they made packs of fruit salad in childish forms, in order to make eating fruit more fun for children.
And last but not the least, Big Appetites by Christopher Boffoli, doesn’t use food as a main character. Instead, he uses it as a background, a world were miniature people live in. You can see friends riding bikes in a banana, workers resting in a pile of pasta or forensic specialists investigating the squashing of a blueberry.
These are really amazing projects, with a delicious inspiration!
