There is always someone to admire in the fashion world: designers, models, but most importantly fashionistas, they eat, breathe and live fashion, every time we see them we are stunned by their looks. Miroslava Duma, or Mira Duma is a tiny, 28 year old muscovite who is driving all the street fashion photographers mad. She is always invited to front row seats at the best runway shows, she’s friends with many designers and fashion editors and she keeps on surprising us with her impeccable and incomparable sense of style.
Apart from being a super fashion genius, she is a fashion consultant, was Russia’s Harpers Bazaar Editor, is cofounder of Buro 24/7, a trends and fashion blog from Russia and is Digital Media Director for TSUM, a luxury department store in Russia. There is also another aspect to Miroslava Duma’s wonderful fashion life, she is the founder of Peace Planet, a cultural and charitable foundation for orphans, single mothers, numerous families, veterans, people in need. This foundation raises funds in order to educate and give opportunities to people with few chances in her country.
The new tendency in Russia is to lead an ostentatious and luxurious lifestyle, leaving behind the soviet communist past; Mira Duma is the perfect example. She is always dressed in the best outfits, showing off the best and most coveted designers, but the best part of it all is that her style is simple and precise. She never fails when it comes to color combination, prints and textures; she is bold, cheerful and wonderfully petite. The fashion world is not only for tall women, but as she herself says, she has to send everything to get fitted because of her tiny size.
