You may see clothes on a mannequin or portrayed in a catalogue but never, never, will it compare to seeing them “in action” worn by real people in situations that you could be in.
With that thought, we decided to team up with Gatopardo Magazine to show our spring-summer collection, away from the set.
At Gatopardo they decided that the best idea was to go for a picnic, drink some red wine and enjoy the sun. The plan turned out to be perfect. We invited seven young creatives that shine in their respective areas: Valerie Miranda, cultural director of Panamérika FM; the musician Juan Manuel Torreblanca; Elena Orestano from Dr. York; David Dibona; director of Distrital; Daniela Elbahara from Yautepec Gallery; Jaime H. Encontra, Blend’s associate and Tamara de Anda, best known on the web as Plaqueta.
Thus, one morning on a regular day, the team and the guests climbed in a van and we all went to Tepoztlán. The atmosphere was fun from minute 1. The seven models joked about going on “a getaway” on a work day and about being models (apparently they didn’t know exactly what was going to happen) and suddenly they were talking about any subject, in a conversation that extended for hours in the van, on the grass, next to the pool and right until we went back to the city at night.
