It was already too late when I heard about the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Clark Airfield in Pampanga. Good thing I have a friend who was there and took pictures.
The line-up of the fiesta was packed with other activities such as kite flying, aerobatic flight displays, sky diving, paragliding, rocketry, and many more. But of course, the hot air balloons were the main draw. Where else can you find a flying multi-tiered cake, or even flowers?
Amid the usual corporate sponsors were creative balloons in the shape of sundae cones and toy cars. I will definitely mark 2013 for the 18th event. Who knows, I might be riding one of the balloons, and not just taking their pictures!
