There are many things that come to mind when you say Italian. We think smart, casual, fun. We also think of the sun of Tuscany and the Sicilian landscapes that Francis Ford Coppola and many other filmmakers have immortalized in their films.
We think of the beauty of Claudia Cardinale and Monica Bellucci. And of course, we think of food.
We’ve found a lovely place in Mexico city: Italian, like us. That place is Non Solo, delicious and uncomplicated (like us).
Non Solo was established in Alvaro Obregon street years ago, long before Álvaro Obregón became fashionable in the way it is now. Then another Non Solo was opened in Plaza Luis Cabrera (near the first one). Today, our favorite one is in the Historic Center (Motolinía 37B).
On Saturday, Mexico City’s downtown can be noisy and chaotic – more than usual -. Non Solo however is like a haven where you can sit outside and watch the bustle of Motolinía or inside to enjoy a moment of peace.
Of course, we recommend pasta but we also loved the salads, which are full of flavors. We love the desserts as well. Everything is perfect with red wine and an cup of coffee at the end.
