Combinations are a mathematical issue. If you tell your teacher “I have X tops to match X bottoms” he will tell you how many different combinations are possible. But fashion is not pure mathematics and some of those combinations will work and others will not.
When we find a combination that works we’re likely to repeat it again and again, but sometimes that leads to a limited number of possibilities to combine a wardrobe which, of course, is a bit of a waste of the rich resources of your own closet. It’s best to take some time to empty your closet, try on everything, look in the mirror, and find a lot of pleasant surprises.
