Eternal Rebeginnings

by United Blogs of Benetton on: mars 18th, 2010

Fashion, style, change like a cycle, they cannot help but be inspired by past foundations to create new trends. We are faced with eternal rebeginnings that endure over the years. For some, the new and the original are separate and independent, an open relationship, while for others it is a marriage.

Audrey Hepburn and Pharrell Williams have wayfarer style sunglasses in common.

The 2000s were marked by the inspiration of the 60-80’s especially with the return of flashy colors, leggings, and wayfarers… The beginning of 2010 saw the rebirth of 90’s pieces, so we are seeing a return of the perfecto, denim jackets and the grunge and punk espirit of those years. One quickly notices this motorcycle touch given that the 90’s themselves were inspired by the 50’s as evidenced by the perfecto worn by Marlon Brando. We thus witness a continual return to the key pieces of the previous decades.

The new generation is inspired by the past while bringing in its own touch. A fresh touch that produces a new product, creating a different combination of clothes. The designs are adapted, modernized to reflect the new looks. Also, every piece, every accessory, every article of clothing finds a new life, a new story and above all a new way of being showcased in the eyes of a new generation.

Montaigne Street would have its place in Grease at least for the perfecto/shirt look.
