Firenze: ruspa e carote!

by United Blogs of Benetton on: maggio 16th, 2011

 Because you’re unique

by United Blogs of Benetton on: marzo 17th, 2010

This global casting competition is closed, almost 65.000 people decided to take part in the competition to prove to the world they’re unique. In these last days I particularly appreciated some competitors, like Claclacla; her profile is full of colours, her pictures makes you see a beautiful girl smiling, and you can definitely understand she’s a nice girl to hang out with.

Colour is the main characher of Franmartinez‘s profile as well, he says he’s called mr.brightside because he can always see the best part of every person and thing. I enjoyed a photo in particular, a colourful portrait with the sentence “The world is not just black and white” , is there anything more true than this?

Irida is another person who caught my attention. She likes photography and in the pictures she plays with her face making different funny expressions and painting it. What I loved about her? This sentence in her description: “imperfect is the new perfect. In the world of perfection and models, my imperfections make me special”. What else do we need to say?

What gives you a state of peace and relax? The idea of a beach at the sunset maybe? Or maybe also a pretty face like Melisa‘s? I loved her photo of the peace symbol made of hands, and the wonderful drawing you can see in her profile.

In a global casting competition like this one I really loved Jessika. What makes her special is her global approach to life. She’s Swedish but she was raised in Germany, Poland, Sweden and Tanzania and now she’s residing in Japan. You can see from her look in her eyes that she’s a risk taker and that she’s a cosmpolitan with the will of travelling and find new exciting places to visit.

…where are the bold and the beautiful?During the New York fashion shows, my friend Francis had a crisis: ‘No, that’s enough! Why do they choose such horrible models… we have to do something, enough monsters with interesting faces, we want handsome men!!!’.

Well, mindful of Francis’ crisis, I concentrated on the guys. Actually, this casting could be the chance to discover someone healthy, not someone who seems to have escaped by chance from a massacre or someone who had a close encounter with a tram line, or other similar characters who fashion addicts love so much. In order to find some interesting chaps, I searched among the guys who registered recently and this is the result.

I point out, for patriotism, Gaetano the Italian. First of all because he has a nice face (like a scoundrel). And also because he says he’s studying to become a nurse and it’s a relief to know that you can meet him in hospital if you have an injury. The platinum blonde matted hair in some of the photos is truly terrifying but it requires a certain degree of courage, so well done!

After him, I began to search among the most voted with great disappointment: too macho or too false. Very sporty, another Italian Andrea C. with a turban scarf on his head. It’s surprising how he can pass with nonchalance from Scarface, to a rapper pose, to the one with a green checked shirt, crawling on the sidewalk (but what kind of pose is it?). He seems to be friendly and also a guy who goes on holiday in places with incredibly lit landscapes (I’m very envious).

The next searches were a failure. I point out only Vish from India for one of his photos: an image from a holiday with a hand on a panoramic viewpoint railing (or road with a sheer drop). All of us have a photo with a hand on a railing. Me too, obviously. Well, comment and point me to some nice guys! I’ll tell Francis and make her happy too.
