La leggenda del #seapunk

by Be-Blogger Italy on: febbraio 28th, 2013

 Because you’re unique

by United Blogs of Benetton on: marzo 17th, 2010

This global casting competition is closed, almost 65.000 people decided to take part in the competition to prove to the world they’re unique. In these last days I particularly appreciated some competitors, like Claclacla; her profile is full of colours, her pictures makes you see a beautiful girl smiling, and you can definitely understand she’s a nice girl to hang out with.

Colour is the main characher of Franmartinez‘s profile as well, he says he’s called mr.brightside because he can always see the best part of every person and thing. I enjoyed a photo in particular, a colourful portrait with the sentence “The world is not just black and white” , is there anything more true than this?

Irida

Irida is another person who caught my attention. She likes photography and in the pictures she plays with her face making different funny expressions and painting it. What I loved about her? This sentence in her description: “imperfect is the new perfect. In the world of perfection and models, my imperfections make me special”. What else do we need to say?

Melisa

What gives you a state of peace and relax? The idea of a beach at the sunset maybe? Or maybe also a pretty face like Melisa‘s? I loved her photo of the peace symbol made of hands, and the wonderful drawing you can see in her profile.

Jessica

In a global casting competition like this one I really loved Jessika. What makes her special is her global approach to life. She’s Swedish but she was raised in Germany, Poland, Sweden and Tanzania and now she’s residing in Japan. You can see from her look in her eyes that she’s a risk taker and that she’s a cosmpolitan with the will of travelling and find new exciting places to visit.

Band of Four (A real band, I mean)

by United Blogs of Benetton on: marzo 15th, 2010

4 nations, 4 styles, 4 musicians. I would love a concert.

I have set up a band. With the casting guys of course, because I can’t play a thing, not even the door bell.

During my tours through the website (but how many are you guys?) I often find the most interesting photos are those that show people expressing themselves through their passion or preferred activity.

Such as dancing, jumping a ditch (how many of you are jumping?) or performing with an instrument. Well, I have combined four elements for a very international band.

Kandis from the United States on drums, playing the snare drum, wearing an enviable Chanel style outfit.

Near Kandis, Oleg from Russia on the sax, who, if need be, can play the tambourine too and wears a beanie pulled well down on his head.

  • Oleg

    27-year-old guy from Russian Federation

In perfect harmony with Kevin from Belgium, a sufficiently gloomy guitarist, who also goes for the grunge beanie look, but is endowed with a body sculpted by his time on the skateboard, to be used on stage for breathtaking solos.

  • Kevin

    21-year-old guy from Belgium

On vocals (perhaps with a different dress from the satin one that looks like a wedding favour, that Kevin might well not like) is Bambi from Latvia.

 The 10 style commandments

by United Blogs of Benetton on: febbraio 10th, 2010

Most of people think that having style is synonymous with having loads of clothes or money to spend on them. This is not true and I’ll explain how to find your own personal style using 10 fashion commandments you should have a look at.

1. “Mix up branded and non branded pieces.” We are used to think that only branded clothes are stylish because only a few people can afford them. It’s not true.

2. “Be unique.” Choose pieces that are individual in their own way.

3. “Observe people.” Look at people both similar and different from you: If they’re similar to you, take a look at the entire style, if they’re different from you, just catch the particulars.

4. “Be inspired.” You could be inspired by everything around you: Use your imagination and your perception of what is beauty, even a ribbon can became a headband.

5. “Be vintage.” Vintage and used clothes represent fashion history. And above all: Don’t throw away anything, fashion is cyclical.

6. “Surf.” Search for new trends online and follow your favorite bloggers advice.

7. “DIY.” Do it yourself: look, think about it and finally, make your own piece!

8. “Be creative.” But remember that not all colors are friends with each other.

9. “Be accessories oriented.” They can even make the same dress look totally different.

10. “Dare.” Try something you like but you’d be wary of wearing: it could be your masterpiece, something that makes you feel like you’re on a catwalk!
