A Day Out With Benetton Chile Blogger, Part 2

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: July 10th, 2012

Sue (Benetton Chile Blogger) and I headed to Blitz London close to Brick Lane to check out the new vintage store which was launched last year, it was my first time visiting there so I was pretty excited.  The vast floor space and basement filled up with arrays of well edited vintage pieces – vintage designers and high street.  What intrigued me was, not only they sell clothing there are other varieties; lifestyle objects, old retro games, books, and a small floor space for cafe area.

Blitz London, 55-59 Hanbury Street, E1 5JP.

Stay tuned for part 3.

 Benetton Style: Pale and pink

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: June 29th, 2012

The weather in the UK has become very obedient (temporarily) as we have enjoyed a week of sunshine and our first heat wave at 26’C, which makes up the lost summer we have had in drench Britain, unfortunately the downpour and cold temperature are set to return this week. Don’t let the miserable weather wither you down, think of colours that would liven up your spirit and beat the horrid grey skies.

What do you think of mute-subtle colours like pale pink and beige with brown, grey or shocking pink as key statement colour?  Check out the Benetton SS12 range with similar colour palette.

Left look 47: Jacket (2Z4HS20M3), Sweater (1091E1526), Trousers (4EK9551P5), Shoes (8H9CB5012).  Middle look 49: Sweater (1094E1551), Trousers (4ZR0551P3), Shoes (8H9CB5012).  Right look 49: Sweater (1094E1551), Trousers (4Z4HS51L3), Shoes (8H9CB5012).

 Trend: Garland headbands

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: June 25th, 2012

Floral prints are still going strong for the second season round, it hasn’t yet tarnish but still blooming lovely.  There is another floral trend going on, fascinator is out of the question, garland headband is a must-have accessory as seen everywhere from weddings, festivals, fashion editorials, music videos, historic paintings to DIY blogs.

Browsing on Pinterest, there are many fantastic boards with collective images of beautiful headbands, wreaths, headpieces and DIY images that could help custom made your own piece. I, too have jumped in a bandwagon and made a subtle garland inspired piece to wear as a headband, necklace and belt.

How long will the trend last until?

 Feeling fiery orange this summer?

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: June 22nd, 2012

Hello!  How are you feeling this summer? Do you feel in the mood of colour?  Feeling orange this summer?  Yes? No?  I certainly do.  There are so many words to describe the colour ‘orange’ – sunkiss, mustard, brick red, burnt orange, sunset, dawn, sunrise and the like.  The balance of cold and warm oranges to match your skintone, your personality (shy or loud), your wardrobe and colour consciousness.  How would you incorporate orange in your outfit? All in one? If you a shy one, perhaps accessories (or single item) as accent colour to balance with other alternate colour.

What colour orange do you represent?

 Happy Birthday Benetton!

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: May 29th, 2012

Benetton is celebrating its 47th birthday today! It was a time Luciano Benetton launched Benetton Group in 1965 and is active in 120 countries.

Where were you in 1965? Any memories of significant events?  I wasn’t even born yet, my mother was 5 years old living happily in China.  Do you have any birthday wishes for Benetton?

Benetton Style: Spring florals has arrived

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: May 14th, 2012

Oh yes yes, the warm weather has arrived at long last in London, a month of continuous down pours, grey skies and horrid cold snaps, we were forced to dig out our Winter clothes to generate our temperature-confused body heat, trust me it felt like Christmas Day.

Last week I became a giddy teenager and wore my favourite Benetton floral patterned tops and the lovely Benetton tote bag outdoor to celebrate the arrival of Spring….again.  Let’s hope we’ll have a continuous sunshine throughout Olympics.

 What’s inside the goodie bag?

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: May 11th, 2012

Don’t we all just love receiving goodie bags from press days?  At Benetton AW12 press day, I was lucky to receive this vibrant mango coloured canvas bag full of little goodies, I felt like a child showered with birthday gifts.  So what’s inside THAT goodie bag?

An essentially good read – COLORS magazine focusing the wide topics, theory, stories and the science of ‘SMILE’.

A high tech slim mouse that glows so bright in the dark, you could use it as glow stick.  A custom made Benetton heart chocolate stick.

Illustrated Nail at Benetton AW12 press day

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: May 4th, 2012

I first encountered The Illustrated Nail a few seasons at an event when the emergence of WAH nails (crazy nail art company) took its height and seen regularly at events, I had my nails done with them in varied styles from lightning pattern to gradual blend of two colours.  I must say it is rather difficult to find an official information on the net as it remains to be a private hire company for event and editorial purposes.

I was lucky to find a spare moment to get my nails done before headed off to another press day, I chose a bright hot pink as the base with the Benetton logo on both thumbs.  Nail art is cool.

 Benetton AW12 press day, kidswear

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: May 3rd, 2012

Don’t you just love walking into a shop and you happen to be in a kidswear department by mistake?  I certainly do.  As seen for the first time at Benetton AW12 press day kidswear collection were rarely shown to the press especially on the blogosphere, it has given it’s love and attention by us and in awe of their cuteness.

Check patterns in dresses, trousers, shirts and coats seems to be a key favourite in kidswear, cute knitted wolly hats with animal facial feature will be a big hit in the autumn winter season, I wish they have them in adult sizes.
