The night before the Royal Wedding I was invited to a lovely intimate ‘Fashion for Show‘, part of the Londonewcastle Project Space, created by 8 selected young and ambitious fashion designers trying to establish a presence in the world of competitive industry that is Fashion and Art.
In it’s second season these London based students from Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and Ravensbourne University, challenged themselves by creating their own show and work towards their common goal through supporting and encouraging each others growth, this to become stronger as creative individuals. They were given a theme ‘The Deviant’ each to explore their own vision of which differs from a norm or from the accepted standards of a society, using this theme and inspiration to produce a collection – womenswear, menswear and knitwear collections as well as the set design.
Those impressive participants include: Lisette Norrby, Magadlena Gustagfsson, Pauline Edwall, Sara Arnesen, Julia Bjorkeheim, Audrey Littman and Timothy Forge. Product and Set Design by Daniel Windfeldt, Phan Thao Dang and Pauline Richard.
