Benetton Style: Cycle Chic

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: January 10th, 2012

Whilst I’m still away on a vacation in Hong Kong I’ve recently taken up cycling as a form of exercise to curb my boredom, being stuck living in a countryside surrounding by its villages, wetlands, mountains, sea and NO SHOPS is rather boring!  Let alone its beautiful green scenery which looks like a 3D watercolour landscape.  Staying away from its traditional cycling clothing (or dull clothing) I wanted to dress in comfort – casual style with a hint of chicness, I’m wearing menswear flannel checked shirt over with Benetton diamond knitted jumper, paired with beige casual trousers and bright purple sneakers, unfortunately my hair needed omph to finalised the whole look.  I wanted to wear lace heeled boots but due to health and safety I decided not to risk the danger of falling over.  Safety comes first!

 Benetton Style: Equestrian-eque

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: November 8th, 2011

On a chilly afternoon on a weekend, wearing a Benetton wool blazer (a/w11), a crisp white shirt and jeans, bright yellow socks and heels, hair scrape back into a sleek bob, it would have been a serious mistake if I have worn my brown leather riding boots out in this outfit.  Why? With a pair of riding boots I would end up looking like an equestrian rider in town without a stallion.  Agree?

Thankfully the Benetton wool blazer has kept me warm throughout the evening and totally loving the whole smart ‘grown up’ look.

An Italian flavour – a dose of latte, spinach and gnocchi to give me added strength and warmth due to lack of carbs in recent weeks.

 LFW SS12 Street Style

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: September 22nd, 2011

Amidst the hectic tight-squeezing schedules at London Fashion Week where I have been stuffing myself with work and the busiest than previous seasons, covering shows as guest blogger for two online publications and guest tweeting, poking endlessly on my touch screen phone like I was trying to kill an angry insect.

Since I have been occupied, I’ve managed to squeeze a bit of street style on the last day with one bar of battery left.

 Benetton Style: Trans-season

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: August 25th, 2011

Definitely feeling the combination of heat and chill, lumpy goose-bumps comes out to give a shout out ‘yeah I really needed a jacket right now’.  Autumn is my favourite trans-season from late Summer, simply because it is when I feel at most ‘comfortable’ without being fussy in choosing what to wear.

Talking about ‘trans-season’ fashion, I’m wearing my favourite Sisley SS11 crochet batwing sweater, paired with Benetton AW11 grey herringbone pleat front shorts (available in the store), and incorporate with my own polka-dot sheer blouse tied on waist, vintage bowler hat, animal print sheer socks and black pony skin brogues.  I am liking this whole combination of masculine, simple layering and pop of red colour. It’s very different to my usual complex addiction with floral combo.

 Benetton look

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: July 1st, 2011

I have a confession. I must have worn the exact style, the crochet knitted top and belt both from Benetton and grey marble effect jersey dress (minus the leopard print socks and shoes) for the past weeks, for the purpose of getting the look photographed for this blog post and failed miserably. Yesterday I succeeded, I literally begged my street style photographer friend who was feeling unwell on the day we met for (supposedly) dinner this evening, has taken some basic snap shots before she headed home. Impressionate.

Personally, I would ditch the flat shoes and settle with a pair of nude Mary Jane shoes. What do you think?

Thanks StyleEast for the outfit photos.

 Blue Heatwave

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: June 4th, 2011

The weather this (Saturday) afternoon was a frustration one, the prickly heatwave has triggered both of my Sinusitis and Hayfever which usually trigger around the peak season of June and July… sounds chronic but today my mood affected my dress sense hence the awful weather.

I have selected a pair of Benetton loose fit denim shorts for today’s style challenge, I paired theshorts with a basic white t-shirt, a blue and white floral button up ruffled shirt, hem tied to the front (courtesy of Benetton), a white and silver flat studded belt and a pair of super comfortable patent leather brogues.

(Thanks Shini of Park & Cube for the outfit shots)
