The trouble with going to Provence…

by United Blogs of Benetton on: June 12th, 2010

…is that you don’t ever want to come home!I know everyone says it but seriously, I did not want to come home. Provence gets me every time; I just love it there, everything agrees with me: the weather, the food and as for the wine, oh la la, heaven.

I sunbathed, splashed around in the pool, made friends with a donkey, played boules, swung on a swing as if I were five, danced in the garden, explored the beautiful local village oh, and my husband was there too! Did I mention it was our honeymoon….

I got a bit carried away with the hipstamatic application so please forgive me, but so much fun!!!

Have you been to Provence?

Did you like it?

 London to NYC

by United Blogs of Benetton on: April 15th, 2010

I have been thinking about my trip to NYC all week, more specifically what to pack.
In London it’s been typically gloomy with the occasional burst of sunshine – nothing new there – but in NYC I hear it’s boiling. So I have to consider two things: heat and a different style set.

Whenever I find myself Stateside I come over all adventurous and start channeling Sex In The City (or at least I think I do…) I spend hours rummaging through flea markets to find that perfect look, and I wear it, but only in Manhattan.
Somehow it just works there, in London I wouldn’t feel comfortable, and not just because of the weather, it’s a different vibe.
I wear flimsy jumpsuits with heels in NYC; I wear red lipstick; I wear brogues with cute little socks and short shorts. I am my very own Carrie Bradshaw.
And yet she only comes alive in NYC. Maybe my London persona needs a little kick…watch this space…
