by Be-Blogger U.K. on: December 9th, 2011

Vibrant and soft muted colours are subjective of spring and summer vibe essentially of personal styling, simple shapes and surface detailing balances the message of loud and quiet colours.  This is why Benetton spring summer collection are always tastefully tailored to customer’s needs, like myself I’m in awe of their deliciously bright citrusy colours, for us fans of colour we will have to wait until SS12 collection arrive on shop floor in Spring, THAT I cannot wait.

Press day nibbles.

 Festive Gifts

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: November 25th, 2011

Notebook £4.90, Gold headphones £9.90, iPad case £9.90

Christmas Day is only less than 4 weeks away, have you planned your party outfit for the festive party? And gifts for friends and family? I certainly haven’t planned my rainbow and glitzy outfit yet, and am in a panic mode pondering what to buy for my friends and family. Last minute gift buying is common in the UK, Benetton have a great selection of gift ideas –  a cute trompe l’oeil t-shirt, trendy coloured headphones, bright and colourful knitted iPad cases and notebooks. I want THAT yellow knitted iPad as a clutch.

It’s party time!

 UNHATE

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: November 18th, 2011

On Wednesday 16th November at 3pm, something strange has happened, a message of tolerance and peace were being spread in the cities of Rome, Milan, Tel Aviv, Paris and New York.  Alessandro Benetton presented a new institutional campaign called ‘UNHATE’ by Unhate Foundation. Hatred exists in our modern society, this global campaign draws an awareness promoting closeness between people, faiths, cultures, and the peaceful understanding of each other’s motivations, using a global call to action and the latest communication tools.

”While global love is still a utopia, albeit a worthy one, the invitation ‘not to hate’, to combat the ‘culture of hatred’, is an ambitious but realistic objective,” explains Alessandro Benetton.  ”At this moment in history, so full of major upheavals and equally large hopes, we have decided, through this campaign, to give widespread visibility to an ideal notion of tolerance and invite the citizens of every country to reflect on how hatred arises particularly from fear of ‘the other’ and of what is unfamiliar to us.  Ours is a universal campaign, using instruments such as the internet, the world of social media, and artistic imagination, and it is unique, in that it calls the citizens of the world to action.  At the same time, it fits perfectly with the values and history of Benetton, which chooses social issues and actively promotes humanitarian causes that could not otherwise have been communicated on a global scale, and in doing so has given a sense and a value to its brand, building a lasting dialogue with the people of the world.”

Over the past 40 hours or so, heavily absorbing all daily tweets #UNHATE, blog feeds and live updates on Facebook with overwhelming responses to the campaign, mostly positive.  For more information about the campaign please click on the link below.

 Benetton Style: Equestrian-eque

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: November 8th, 2011

On a chilly afternoon on a weekend, wearing a Benetton wool blazer (a/w11), a crisp white shirt and jeans, bright yellow socks and heels, hair scrape back into a sleek bob, it would have been a serious mistake if I have worn my brown leather riding boots out in this outfit.  Why? With a pair of riding boots I would end up looking like an equestrian rider in town without a stallion.  Agree?

Thankfully the Benetton wool blazer has kept me warm throughout the evening and totally loving the whole smart ‘grown up’ look.

An Italian flavour – a dose of latte, spinach and gnocchi to give me added strength and warmth due to lack of carbs in recent weeks.

 The Man bag

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: October 26th, 2011

I always admire men’s rucksacks for their basic feature, dark in colour, non-trendy, seasonal and functional for all purpose.  I’ve purchased this Benetton rucksack together with the yellow wool jacket, I’m pleased to tell you the rucksack is PERFECT, took the bag to a day out and it managed to fit all my shopping in and survived being battered amongst the busy street of shoppers.

 A perfect winter jacket

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: October 21st, 2011

As you know winter coat is one of the most expensive investments you’ll make to wear during the cold season months, I’m hoping to break the boundary by not investing a new winter coat as I hadn’t done so for the past 3 years, what I needed in my winter wardrobe staple is a warm winter ‘jacket’, a length that sits nicely on the hip line.  Indeed I have found ‘the one’ from Benetton, a soft mustardy wool blazer (£109.00) which also comes in grey, I have yet to wear it.

 The elegance of womanhood

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: October 14th, 2011

British autumn has arrived at long last with rumoured of below freezing temperature and snow is expected to hit in Britain this month.

Freezing or not, don’t let the weather spoil our wardrobe plans, here’s Benetton a/w12 collection ‘The Elegance of Womanhood’. Benetton proposes soft-folk atmospheres with a modern, on trend attitude. New look animal prints are inspired by the delicately coloured feathers that see to settle lightly on shiny satin dresses, skirts and blouses. Soft shapes compliments the consistency of the fluid, comfortable fabrics, while maxi lengths conjure up sensations of the 70s.

Printed knitwear and sheer georgette with the alternate style in python-skin pattern, feminine and sexy shapes with lots of draping and bust darts on soft-styled tops and trousers with bold accents. Satin and shimmer evening wear for asymmetrically cut tops, dresses and tunics printed with giant black and white roses. Androgynous tailoring of Prince of Wales check and herringbone, simple and well proportioned looks which is on trend this autumn as well as the little black dresses, cigarette pants and, above all, outerwear with tie belts.

Having seen the collection myself, I’m contemplating whether to invest myself a long pleated skirt.

 Knit in confusion

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: September 30th, 2011

It’s late September and what is this unexpected volcanic heat-like temperature that soared at 28′C in London this week, last week I was fully committed transitioning from thin to thick warm tops for the autumn.  Summer apparels were neatly folded and packed away ready for the next season’s greeting, now it’s back in the wardrobe in full service.

Seems like autumn is still a long way to go, at least I have managed to finish my scarf knitting challenge set on the start of Knit Your World competition.  Let’s enjoy the long finale of the British heatwave.

 Benetton Knitted Clutch

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: September 29th, 2011

I would like to say a massive thanks to Benetton for sending me this lovely bright orange knitted clutch, received just in time before the commence of London Fashion Week, it was a perfect accessory to accommodate my loaned tablet and storing invitations.  I think this will make a good travel pillow for my up and coming trip to Asia.

Thanks Jen of The Style Crusader for the photos.

Benetton Open Casting Call in London

by Be-Blogger U.K. on: September 27th, 2011

The Benetton open casting call took place at London’s flagship store the day before London Fashion Week.  The hustles and bustles near the changing room of the store where potential new faces stood and waited patiently signing models release forms, and carefully selected outfits to match their personalities for the main casting photo session with the super-uber amazing photographer and blogger Jackie Dixon of famed Show Me Your Wardrobe.  The photos were to be uploaded on It’s My Time website and cast by the Benetton insiders.  Embarrassingly, the life count in my camera and phone died within minutes of each other, therefore I had no backup to snap pictures but a few of these behind the scenes for your pleasurable view.  I wish the models the best of luck.
